"Why, do you have them?" I said.
"Yes, but it is straight foster for only two weeks." they said
"OK." I said after a consult with my loving husband"Pick them up at the hospital tomorrow." they said."Hooray!" I said.
From the beginning we let them know if we could adopt the twins we would love to. So if you are doing the math we were blessed with a 3 year old son, 1 year old son, 6 month old daughter, and newborn twins. What a wonderful way to savor each day. We didn't have to worry about when all five are in high school, not a thought about potty training 3 at a time, not a worry about college $, just enjoying each day. What a sweet time in our lives. We don't know how many seconds/minutes/days we have with any of our love ones, so you better enjoy. This rich process of adoption made us realize how to be thankful for each second. As our favorite song says, "I've no less days to sing God's praise than in the hour I first began." Making a long story shorter, we were able to adopt our twins, too! We have recently added another set of twins and enjoy each day as that story unfolds. So for now are singing God's praise with each action and thanking God daily for his grace and sense of humor.
The kiddos are now 8, 7, 5, 5, 5, 6mo. and 6mo. We are priveledged to home school. Although we particiapate in many activities our favorite place is at home.

About our family...
After about a year and a half of marriage came the birth of our first son. We were ecstatic. Nineteen months later we were blessed with our next son. We were overjoyed. One night my husband and I were driving around (instead of bedtime routine) because we were tired. In hindsight there is great irony there. We were listening to the local christian radio station. They had a show about adoption and God moved in our hearts. The foster to adopt program is amazing! With a two and one year old we began our foster to adopt journey with our first daughter. Our oldest, the two year old, had been praying, "Dear God, could you please bring us one baby boy ber(for) Daddy and one baby girl ber(for) me?" God listened. God laughed. The adoption agency/CPS called:"Do you still want twins?" they said.
